PROTEINS/ANTIGENS

We sell to an international customer base. In response to South Africa’s AIDS pandemic our flagship range of products are used to manufacture HIV diagnostic devices. We are the only African manufacturer of diagnostic reagents to be granted a sublicense agreement for manufacturing COVID-19 diagnostic tests endorsed by the World Health Organisation. COVID-19

We have performed over 100,000 COVID tests.

At the beginning of the pandemic we were approved by the DOH as a COVID-19 testing laboratory. We set up drive-through test sites & also performed tests for other companies. We implemented advanced laboratory management system (LIMS) software to be able to process thousands of requests daily, supported by a customer support team.  The COVID-19 testing facility has evolved into a fully-fledged pathology laboratory.

DNA SEQUENCING

Identification of COVID-19 variants of concern.  We performed validation studies for a number of international manufacturers of COVID-19 antigen tests to confirm they detected variants of concern. Our genetic analysis platform has many other applications including paternity tests & pharmacogenomic analysis.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We are in the process of setting up clinics in resource limited settings: townships around Cape Town where individuals can access affordable STI tests, HPV screening tests & other health tests.
